Dr. Rafiq Zaheer MD , FACC is a board certified cardiologist with a special interest in interventional cardiology . Doctor Zaheer has a total of 5 board certifications which include Internal Medicine, Echocardiography, Nuclear cardiology, Interventional Cardilogy and General Cardiology. He enjoys taking care of patients utilizing evidence guide lines and practices. Doctor Zaheer served as section chief of cardiology for over 10 years at Inova Alexandria Hospital, where he is currently the chairman of the department of medicine. During his free time Dr. Zaheer enjoys walking for exercise, listens to audio books, watching movies and spending quality time with his family.
